Giants Stars Barkley and Jones Sign New Contracts
Former Giants star running back Saquon Barkley is joining the rival Eagles in a three-year deal, according to NFL.com. The Giants, meanwhile, have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with running back Matt Brieda.
Barkley's departure from New York comes after a tumultuous season in which he struggled with injuries and a diminished role in the Giants' offense. The Eagles, meanwhile, are hoping that Barkley can be the missing piece to their Super Bowl puzzle.
Brieda, a four-year veteran, is a solid and reliable running back who should provide a boost to the Giants' backfield. He rushed for over 500 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Miami Dolphins.
