The Contenders Return

The Boston Celtics are coming off a disappointing end to their 2022-23 season, losing in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors. Despite the heartbreaking loss, the Celtics remain one of the most talented teams in the league and are poised to make another run at the championship in 2023-24.

The Celtics' roster is led by All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum is one of the most dynamic young players in the NBA and is coming off a season in which he averaged 30.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. Brown is a rising star who has developed into one of the best two-way players in the league. He averaged 24.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game last season.

In addition to Tatum and Brown, the Celtics have a number of other talented players, including Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and Robert Williams III. Smart is a defensive stalwart who was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. Horford is a veteran big man who provides leadership and experience. Williams is a young, ascending center who has the potential to be one of the best in the league.

The Celtics have a lot of talent, but they also have some question marks. They need to find a more consistent third scoring option behind Tatum and Brown. They also need to improve their bench depth.
